How to download McAfee 8.5i from ITS Software Downloads.
(or any other software offered from ITS)
The first step is to start your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc.) and point to the ITS homepage. [ http://its.ndsu.edu/ ]
Find the "Software Downloads" link on the left side of the page and click it. (It's about twelve lines down below the SEARCH box.)
Once you have clicked on the "Software Downloads" link you'll be presented with a log in screen similar to this one. =======> You'll need to key in your Username (usually the same as everything to the left of the @ symbol in your email address.) Then key in your password and click on the Login button. |

Select the Windows Software link and you'll see a screen similiar to the one depicted below. |
Now you'll need to pick the version you need. You should not need to do the ON CAMPUS install since that's handled by way of CEA Tech Support, so choose the OFF CAMPUS software and click on it. When the File Download box appears, select the SAVE option.

In this case we've selected the "temp" directory and are leaving the file name intact. |

After you've clicked on the Save button above the file will be transfered to your computer. When it is finished transfering you should see the following screen. Click on Close. |
If you have been successful in following these steps you should have a copy of McAfee 8.5i on your local computer. You no longer need to have your browser running and should shut that application down. Once you've exited from the browser click on this link to "Continue preparing for installation."
