Course Objectives and Methodology

The course objective is to give the student experience in a technical, engineering environment.



Requirements for getting 3 credits
(as an ECE technical elective)

  1. student must have technical work equivalent to six months full time work.
  2. student must report to a technical professional, usually in industry, and perform work with adequate technical content (to be determined by the faculty in charge of ECE 496).
  3. for successful completion of the course the student must have
    1. An approved written report (and the report is archived), and
    2. an oral presentation, which is scheduled through the ECE office so the course instructor can attend and so there is enough advanced public notice so that other individuals can attend.
  4. I.P. (intellectual property) issues need to be addressed with the co-op company before completion of written report and oral presentation.
